May 30, 1961 - April 12, 2021

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Key Morris, 59, of Kannapolis, went into her heavenly home Monday, April 12, 2021.

Debbie was born May 30, 1961, in Wilkes County, to the late Paul Key and Christine Crews Key, who survives.

Debbie worked at Cannon Mills before becoming a customer service representative at Wal-Mart. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in China Grove. She was very creative and was talented at sewing, quilting, and making crafts. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs and cats. She also enjoyed spending time outside gardening flowers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and going out to eat with them.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 40 years, Harold Eugene Morris; two sons, Michael Morris and Jeremy (Candice) Morris; daughter, Wendy Morris; mother, Christine Key; four grandchildren, Johnny Laturno, Zoe Laturno, Vada Laturno, and Eli Morris; three sisters, Carolyn Keller, Sandy Loflin, and Joyce Johnson, and nephew, Kevin Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 15, at Whitley's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 16, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Curtis Goforth and Chuck Overcash officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
