Frederick Linnert CONCORD Frederick C. "Fred" Linnert, 83, of Concord, and formerly of Pittsburgh, Pa. and then Myrtle Beach, S.C. died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Moores-ville after an extended illness. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home prior to the memorial service. Fred was born June 5, 1929, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Clarence and Catherine Denk Linnert. He graduated from Carrick High School and Robert Morris College. He served in the U.S. Air force during the Korean War. He then became an accountant with his family's business, Jordan Tax Service. Later, he served as a Special Agent with the FBI from 1960 to 1971, and then went back to assume ownership of the family tax business until he retired to Avella, Pa. and then Myrtle Beach, S.C. Fred will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and nephew. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Lee Linnert Seay; and his brother, William Linnert. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia "Pats" Jackson Linnert, of the family home; his daughters, Cheryl Suzanne Linnert, of Concord and Danielle L. Holiday and husband, Erin, of Odenton, Md.; his grandchildren, Sean, Megan, Glenn, Brittany, Shannon, Nick, Kelsey, and Jacqui; great-grandchildren, Emma, Bryson, Abriella and Allie; and his aunt, Rosanne James, of Concord.
