MOCKSVILLE – Rev. Jack Rayford Johnson, 80, of Houston Road, went home to be with his Savior Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Surry County to the late Raymond Wesley and Mittie Frances Coe Johnson. Pam, I am sorry to hear about your dad I didnot know he had past away until I saw Pee Wee Norris in the dentist office this week. He was a wonderful person and the best preacher Oak Ridge ever had. He married Debbie and myself back in 1976 . He will be missed but I am sure he is very happy to be with the Lord in heaven now. May God bless and keep you and your family . Lang and Debbie Joyner

Lyndell, Sandra, Pam & Tina,
You & your families are in our prayers. My family has wonderful memories of your time at Cedar Grove Bapt. Ch. The days ahead will be hard, but God will get you through it. Jack was a serious man of God, but he also had a very wonderful sense of humor. That is what made him so likeable. I remember one nite at church Pam & I were sitting together, Pam pulled out a brush & started brushing her hair...... Jack paused during his sermon & told Pam to put away her brush............ then my dad was behind us, & he stood up & tapped me on the back to do the same...... I know you all have great memories to hold with you. Please know that you are remembered very fondly.

My prayers and thoughts are with you. Jack will be missed especially his smile that he always had for everyone. When he spoke of his family and his love for his Lord Jesus Christ you could see a twinkle in his eyes. I know he is smiling right now as he sits at the feet of our Lord.

God Bless

Jack made the best deer jerky that my son ever had. My daughter thinks Jack is the most caring preacher she ever heard and my wife and I feel Jack was the most humble Christian we would ever want to meet. What a joy he brought to our family.
