Michael Ray "Mike" Hartsell

CONCORD - Michael Ray "Mike" Hartsell, 60, of 3940 Amarillo Drive, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at his home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Quesenberry officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. Mr. Hartsell was born Dec. 11, 1946, in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Hubert R. Hartsell and the late Joyce Sloop Hartsell. He was an Insurance Agent with Davis Insurance Co., Concord. He was previous owner of Mike Hartsell Allstate Insurance Agency and Mike Hartsell Insurance Agency. Mr. Hartsell was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Broadus Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Frances Barnhardt Hartsell of the home; son, Rick E. Hartsell of Concord; sisters, Mary Ruth Hartsell, Patricia Guy and husband, Bennie, Betsy Bost and husband, Mike, and Linda Eudy and husband, Chuck, of Concord; Mom, Helen Hartsell of Concord; "Special Maw," Janie Love Barnhardt of Concord; brothers-in-law, David Barnhardt and wife, Sharon, Gary L. Barnhardt and wife, Angie, all of Concord, and Robin Love and wife, Jamie, of Mount Pleasant; brother, Butch Gray and wife, Robin, of Concord; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
