Edward Warner Obituary

Edward J. Warner. 93, South Montrose, Pa., passed away October 26, 2008, at the Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, after a brief illness.
He was born in Scranton, PA, to the late Burton and Katherine (Thomas) Warner.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Edward J. Jr. and Linda R. Warner, Montrose; two grandsons, Scott A. Warner and Michael A. Warner; nieces and nephews; his caretaker, Dee Swackhamer.
Edward was predeceased by his wife, Jean L. Warner, in 2003; a sister, Ruth Sanderson, two brothers, Herbert (Flick) Warner and Daniel Warner.
Ed worked for many years at the Creamery in South Montrose, and retired from Kasson Manufacturing in Binghamton, N.Y.
He enjoyed lawn mowing for himself and neighbors. He and his wife made all sorts of lawn ornaments, and enjoyed taking long Sunday afternoon drives.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral home, with Rev. Richard Spering of the Fairdale United Methodist Charge officiating.
Interment will be in the Lawsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2008, at the funeral home.
Donations in Ed's memory may be made to the Montrose Minutemen ambulance service P.O. Box 461 Montrose, PA  18801, or to the Ronald McDonald House 332 Wheeler Ave. Scranton, PA 18510.

Eddie and Jean were our landlords when we were first married in 1981. They were tremendous people--gracious, caring and supportive. After we joined the Air Force and left the area in 1984, we'd stop by to visit when we'd come home. We will always think of them both when we go by the "green house in South Montrose"

wwhat a wonderful man as well as wife jean who was my sunday school teacher when i was about 6 at montrose baptist church never forgot her teachins and the deer i bought he made is at my sons in texas beautiful work condolences love and prayers, a halliday had a nice long life and great marriage and family they adored such a plus today
