Harriett Kielceski Obituary

Harriett O. Kielceski, 86, of Montrose, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Gracious Living Estates after a brief illness. Her husband, Joseph T. Kielceski, Sr., predeceased her in 1969.

She was born in Auburn Twp., to the late William C. and Elena (McGavin) Overfield.

Harriett was a graduate of Montrose High School and worked in county agencies and the former County National Bank, retiring as a vice-president in 1990. She was a member of the Holy Name of Mary Church, its Altar and Rosary Society and was active in a variety of community organizations.

Surviving are her children, Kathleen and David Kubly, Cary, N.C., Joseph and Tina Kielceski, Ann Reed, Stephen and Lory Kielceski all of Montrose; grandchildren Johanna and Dylan Reed, Kate Kielceski and Paul Barlow; great-grandson Connor Barlow; sister Ann Very; brother Donald Overfield; sisters-in-law Barbara Overfield and Sophie Kielceski, all of Montrose; brother-in-law, Edmund Clarke, Portland, Ore.; seven step-grandchildren; fifteen step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her sisters Irene Fuller and Ethel Bunnell; brothers Joseph, Byron (Dick), Henry (Chick); infant Seth Overfield; and son-in-law, Dr. Ronald Reed.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, October 23 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Douglas Reed, Edenton, N.C., officiating.

Interment will be in the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery, Montrose.

Visitations were on Friday, October 22 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home.

The family will provide flowers.

Donations in Harriett's name may be made to either Endless Mountains Health Systems or Susquehanna County Library building funds.
