Robert Warriner

Robert S. Warriner, 65, of Elk Lake, Agawam Farm, passed away, Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at his home.
Born June 21, 1944 in Morristown, N.J., he was the son of the late Reuel E. Sr. and Doris [Stanley] Warriner.
He owned and operated Agawam Farms and Agawam Excavation and Trucking for many years.
Throughout the years, Robert belonged to a number of organizations centered around conservation, preservation, and education. He was an active participant in the following: The New York State 2 Cylinder Expo Association, the County Community Foundation of Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties, the Montrose Club, the Susquehanna County Soil Conservation Service, the Susquehanna County Conservation District, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Elk Lake Protective Association and the Warren Lodge #240 F & AM and other Masonic Organizations. He was also a faithful member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Montrose.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Katherine Baker Warriner, of Elk Lake, sons and daughters-in-law, Edgar T. and Sherri S. Warriner, of Elk Lake, Raymond C. & Jeanine M. Warriner, of Elk Lake, daughters & sons-in-law, Dr. Doris S. Warriner & Dr. Bryan M. Brayboy, of Phoenix, Ariz., Rachel W. & Benson S. Bartron, of Elk Lake, 12 grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Alma "Timmy" and Winston Wood of Vero Beach, Fla., brother, Reuel E. Warriner Jr. of Altlantic Heights, N.J., and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was a wonderful husband, father, friend and role model. He will be deeply missed by many.
Services were held Sunday, July 19, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Montrose.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Robert & Katherine Warriner Fund at the Community Foundation of Susquehanna and Wyoming County, 36 Lake Ave., Montrose, PA 18801 to support agricultural heritage and cultural programs in Susquehanna County.
