Donnie Judy Obituary
Born February 1, 1947, in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Joseph "Joe " Zechariah and Marie Horne Judy. He was a 1965 graduate of Greenwood High School and was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College. Donnie was a US Navy Vietnam Era Veteran and was retired from Solutia (Monsanto) after 36 1/2 years of service.
A member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church, he was also a former Sunday School teacher, Men's Fellowship Leader, Deacon, and a member of the Tabitha Sunday School Class.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years are a son, Donnie Gary Judy, Jr. of Johnston; a daughter, Crystal Judy Shuford (David) of Rock Hill; three grandchildren, Kelsy Sharpe (Mike) of Columbia, Bradley Griffin and Dylan Griffin, both of Rock Hill; and two great-granddaughters, Kylie Judy and Luna Sharpe.
He was predeceased by a son, Joseph "Joey" Walter Judy, a daughter-in-law, Catherine Judy and a granddaughter, Alyson Paige Judy.
A private memorial service was conducted at Abney Memorial Baptist Church.
Private inurnment with Military Honors was conducted at the home.
