Francis Norryce Obituary

Francis Michael Norryce, Sr., 75, of Abbeville, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, surrounded by his family and faithful companion, Piper. Born on July 11, 1950, he was the beloved son of the late Francis Laboon Norryce and Joe William Norryce, Sr.

Michael proudly served his country in the SC National Guard before beginning his career with CSX Railroad, where he worked until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Regina Billings Norryce, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years before her passing on October 21, 2023. Together they built a legacy of family, faith, and love.

A true outdoorsman, Michael found joy in hunting, gardening, and sharing meals he cooked with friends and family. His green thumb and culinary talents brought people together, and his generous spirit made every gathering memorable. He also had a lifelong love for Great Danes. His devoted dog, Piper, remained by his side as his constant friend and companion until the end.

In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Regina, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Alisa Edwards and his brother, Billy Norryce.

Michael is survived by his son, Mike (Sharon) Norryce; his grandchildren Evan, Ean, Elyse, Savanna, Austin, and Isabella; and his great-granddaughter, Maci Timms; a sister, Debbie Temple; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Dian Norryce; sister-in-law, Carol Norryce; and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends 2:00PM - 3:00PM, Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home, 302 N. Main Street, Abbeville, SC. Graveside services will begin on Wednesday at 3:30PM in Long Cane Cemetery. The family invites friends to join them in celebrating Michael's life at his home on 35 Rose Hill Lane, following the graveside service.

Michael will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to his country, his love of the outdoors, his faithful friendship, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." - Matthew 5:8
