Janet Heck Obituary
Born September 26, 1941, in Brunswick, ME, she was a daughter of the late Alden Rowe and Alice Colby Rowe. She was a graduate of Brunswick High School in Maine and attended Tennessee Technical College. Janet was a devoted and supportive Navy wife having worked outside the home sparingly over the years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years are two sons, George Edward Heck, Jr. (Mitzi) of Monroe, GA and Michael Alden Heck of Plaquemine, LA; a sister, Cheryl Sawyer (Michael) of WA; four grandchildren, Nicholas Heck (Ann Gilbert), Jillian Heck (Cody R. Rosborough), Aidan Heck, and Alden Heck; and two great-grandchildren, Henry Heck and Wren Heck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Francisco Oñate-Vargas officiating.
Memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd.
Staten Island, NY 10306.
