Jean Bowman Reeder Wilkes, 87, widow of William T. "Bill" Wilkes, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born September 15, 1934, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Albert Prue and Ruby Hampton Bowman. She was a 1951 graduate of Clinton High School and retired as a Real Estate Agent from Caldwell Banker Company.

She was a prior member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, a Sunday School Teacher, was in the Phoenix Community Club, and a current member of First Baptist Church of Cross Hill.

Surviving are two sons, Billy Ray (Lorie) Reeder and Mike Reeder both of Cross Hill; two daughters, Connie Reeder Burger and Susan Reeder (Dell) Riddle of Moncks Corner; a step-son, Michael Wilkes of CA; a brother, Albert Prue "Buddy" (Becky) Bowman of Gainesville, GA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and nineteen great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by son-in-law, Michael Burger and two sisters, Wilene Bowman Mason and Linda Bowman Hart.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Cross Hill with Rev. Robert Fleming officiating.

Burial will follow at Rehoboth United Methodist Church.

The family is at the home, of Billy Ray Reeder Jr. and will receive friends from 12-1 at First Baptist Church of Cross Hill.
