Joe Johnson Obituary
Born in Ninety-Six, SC, son of the late Willie Howard Johnson, Sr. and the late Cliffis Griffin Johnson on March 14, 1946. He was a graduate of Edgewood High School, Ninety Six, SC and a faithful member and Deacon of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. . He was a former supervisor for Greenwood Mills and the owner and operator of Johnson and Sons Lawn Care Service.
He was the last survivor of his immediate family.
He is survived by: his devoted wife, Betty Lou Butler Johnson of the home; sons, Joe Aaron Johnson, Saluda, SC Zontavius (Brundria) Johnson of Simpsonville, SC, Mark (Sarah) Johnson, Texas; two daughters, Joetta Johnson, Philadelphia, PA and Cynthia (Kendrick) Christie, Ninety Six, SC; 17 grandchildren, 3 great grands; daughter-in-law, Tonya Butler of Saluda, SC and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday, 12/19/21 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Adrian Wideman, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 A.M. Public viewing will be 1-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral Home.
