Joseph Harold Foxworth

1941 - 2024

Joseph "Harold" Foxworth, 82, of Greenwood, passed away at his home on Friday, November 1, 2024. Born on December 28, 1941, in Salters, SC, he was the beloved son of the late Walter and Alice McKnight Foxworth.

Joseph was a proud graduate of Williamsburg High School and dedicated 37 years of his career to Itron (FKA Neptune Measurement and Schlumberger), where he retired as Production Manager. His commitment to his work was matched by his devotion to his community and faith. As a member and Council Vice Chair of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Joseph's leadership and service were deeply valued. He was also an active member of the Upper Savannah Gun Club, where he enjoyed camaraderie and shared interests.

Joseph is survived by his loving children: son, Stephen S. Foxworth and his wife, Carolyn, of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Melissa A. Foxworth of Greenwood, SC; and granddaughter, Cecilia Foxworth of Raleigh, NC. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings: Libby Cooper and her husband, Lloyd, of Salters, SC; Walter Robert Foxworth and his wife, Debbie, of Columbia, SC; James Elliott Foxworth, Sr. and his wife, Mitsy, of Kingstree, SC; and the Honorable Randy Brice Foxworth and his wife, Holly, of Andrews, SC.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Carol Peppers-Wray. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Melissa, at 134 Colonial Drive, Greenwood.
