Lorie Hester Allen

Mrs. Lorie Hester Allen, 80, of 105 Verdon Hill, Fayetteville, Georgia passed on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Magnolia Hospice, Austell, GA. Born in Calhoun Falls, SC on July 4, 1941, she was the daughter on the late Tom and Carrie Julia Wilson Hester. Lorie worked with the U.S. Civil Service where she retired from the Kings Bay Naval Sub-Base. She was a member of the St. Mary Church of Christ in St. Mary, GA.

Lorie is survived by her husband, John Larry Allen of the home; three daughters, Delores Allen of the home, Marlene (Irfan) Ahmed of United Arab Emirates and Johnette (Masud) Khandaker of South Korea; a stepson, Kelly (Debra) Bryant of Calhoun Falls, SC; one sister, Paulette H. (William) Davis of Clinton, MD; four grandchildren; a daughter in-law, Sondra Renee Jenkins of Blythewood, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lorie was preceded in death by her parents; one stepson, Randy Jenkins; one brother, Charles Hester and three sisters, Evelena Johnson, Mabel Walker and (twin sister) Marie Hester.

Graveside services for Lorie will be held 1:00PM on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Glovers A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Calhoun Falls, SC. Public viewing will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 2-6 pm at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Verna Dean Bryant, 211 Lee Street, Calhoun Falls.
