Michael Scott Obituary

Michael Scurry Scott, Sr., 74, of Greenwood, husband of Donna Quick Scott, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Mack Rayford Scott and Doris McFerrin Scott. Michael was a lifelong resident of Greenwood, where he dedicated his life to his work and family. He spent many years working at Wesley Commons bringing comfort and care to those in need through his role in maintenance. He cherished the simple pleasures in life and found immense joy in spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, and his loyal dog "Buddy".

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Michael Scurry Scott, Jr. (Melissa), Traci Denise Larkins (Lark) and Brandon Wood (Katie); siblings, Brenda Gillespie and Dennis Scott (Kathy); and grandchildren, Kacie Scott, Adrianna Wood, Ella Wood, Emma Wood and Sterling Wood.
