Ray Culbreth, 72, husband of Jan Hall Culbreth, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 18, 2021 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Ollie and Ethel Culbreth. He was a devoted husband and father.

A former Marine, he served as Corporal in the Vietnam Conflict, awarded the combat "V". He retired from Covidien after 40 years. His favorite hobby of all time was scuba diving.

Ray had a wonderful sense of humor and always loved his family and pets.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, one daughter, Stacey Williams and husband Chuck; a sister-in-law, Dianne Werts of Ware Shoals; one sister, Lois Johnson of Greenwood; several nieces and nephews.

Ray was predeceased by a brother, Charles Culbreth of Greenville.

No services will be held at his request.
