Reeda Brice Nickles Pinson, 93, resident of 121 Oxford Road, widow of James Ernest Pinson, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born October 4, 1928, in Hodges she was a daughter of the late Edward B. and Kate Reed Nickles. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School and the University of South Carolina at Columbia and the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston. She was a registered nurse, retiring from Self Regional Medical Center. She also formerly taught nursing at Lander University.

A member of Hodges Presbyterian Church, she was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth Ann and husband Jimmy Grubbs of Lexington; a son, James Edward "Jimmy" and wife Anji W. Pinson of Greenwood; a sister, Nancy and husband Paul May of Powdersville; five grandchildren, Katie (Samuel "Macky") Price, Aaron (Erin) Grubbs, Jackie G. (Matt) Huneycutt, Anna Pinson and Clay Pinson; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be conducted at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Hampton Hunter officiating.

The family is at the home in Druid Hills.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hodges Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 99, Hodges, SC 29653.
