Rhett Randall Simpson, 58, resident of 313 Noble Drive Abbeville, SC husband of Lisa Sorrow Simpson passed away Sunday November 21, 2021 at his home. Born in Abbeville, SC January 28, 1963 he was the son of the late Helen Meadows Perkins and the late Randall Guy Simpson.

Rhett was a faithful member of Abbeville Congregational Holiness Church, which was also where he met his loving wife of 41 years. He was the superintendent of CHC for 10 years & over the youth group during that time. Rhett enjoyed gardening, beekeeping, being outdoors, & most of all spending time with his family. He was a very hard worker who was employed at Capsugel as a maintenance technician II for 26 years. He was very devoted to his work, but he always put God and his family first and foremost in his life. His favorite Bible verse was -Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. He lived by this verse and raised his family up with a strong foundation centered in the Lord.

Survivors include: his beloved wife of 41 years Lisa Sorrow Simpson of the home; his son Josh Simpson (Nicole) of Greenwood; his daughter Tara Henderson (Timothy) of Abbeville; a sister Dena George (Karen) of Georgia & two brothers Thomas Perkins who also resides in Georgia & Brent Simpson of South Carolina. Four grandchildren Clayton Simpson, Coleton Simpson, Tucker Simpson, & Trinity Henderson.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday November 28, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Congregational Holiness Church with the Reverend Willie McCurry officiating. The burial will follow at Long Cane Cemetery. The family is at the home of 313 Noble Drive, Abbeville, SC.
