Sam Wright Obituary

On the morning of December 21, 2024, Samuel "Sam" Raymond Wright, age 47, was welcomed through the gates of heaven by his son Caleb, who preceded him in death.

Sam leaves behind three children, Adam, Maggie, and Kyleigh Wright and his granddaughter, Paityn to carry on in his absence. Sam is also survived by his loving mother, Trish Wright of Lexington, SC, three brothers, Ben (Sarah) Wright of Lexington, SC, Tommy (Tiffany) Wright of Greenwood, SC, and Michael Wright of Leesville, SC. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, fellow LSRC riders, and a multitude of others that he helped, housed, and loved over the years.

Sam was preceded in death by his first-born son, Caleb Wright, his father, Bryan Wright, and his grandmother, Charlotte Wright.

Sam was a faithful employee of Fuji Film for over 20 years. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and devoted Clemson football fan. Sam loved his family and friends deeply. His children were his greatest pride and joy. Sam was known to be a kind, gentle, and loving man who was always willing to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Everyone who met him knew they had a friend for life.

Sam loved God. Matthew 5:8 says, "Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God." Sam's heart was one of the purest around. To know him, was to love him.

Sam was a one-of-a-kind father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. Sam made an impact on anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. With his infectious smile, laughter, and let's face it, sarcasm; Sam left a footprint on every heart he came across. In the words of Dr. Suess, "Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened." May we all smile as we look back on our time spent with Sam.

Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Harley Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Buddy Cockrell and Pastor Dennis Reynolds officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Sam may the road rise to meet you. May the wind be at your back. May the sun shine warmly on your face. May the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hands.
