Sandra Fleming Obituary
A proud 1961 graduate of Abbeville High School, Mrs. Fleming was a devoted member of South Side Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and had a special passion for nurturing children, operating Mrs. Sandra's Daycare for many years. Sandra cherished her time at the beach, camping with her family, found joy in reading, and delighted in observing nature, particularly birds. Her involvement in the Friendship Sunday School Class brought her great comfort and she treasured her bonds with her church family.
Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family and community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Diane Fleming, and a sister, Brenda N. Fort.
Mrs. Fleming is survived by her husband of 62 years, Sam of the home; her children, Greg E. Fleming (Kerry) of Abbeville, Janet F. Campbell (Trampus) of Due West, and Jennifer F. Carnley (Kenny) of Greenwood; a brother, Ed Norris of Whidbey Island, WA; four grandchildren, Samantha (John Robert), Brooke (Trevor), Jonathan, and Te; three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Baylor, and Tate.
A celebration of Sandra's life will be 2:00PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at South Side Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Joel Bradberry officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Sandra, may be made to the Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607 or to Our Farm - A Place for Us Ministries, PO Box 797, Greenwood, SC 29648.
