Teri Lake Obituary
Born August 21, 1966, in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Curtis M. Stewart, Jr. and the late Jackie W. Stewart. She was a 1984 graduate of Greenwood Vocational School with an LPN in nursing. Teri worked at The Burton Center as a nurse for over 34 years. She retired and went back to work there as contract nurse working at the Bond and Burton houses. She had a special bond with the clients, she loved them and they loved her.
She was a member of Harris Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, Curtis, Teri is survived by a daughter, Valerie Oliva (Chris) of Greenwood; a son, Brad Lake of the home; a sister, Timi S. Eddy (Gerald); and her two cats whom she loved dearly, Zoey and Chloe.
She was predeceased by a nephew, Stewart B. Eddy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday at Blyth Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Levan officiating.
A private burial will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of her father, 306 Clairmont in Druid Hills, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Burton Foundation, 2605 Hwy 72/221E. Greenwood, SC 29649.

Teri was a very quiet, calm, hardworking nurse that molded her career after her mother who was an RN. She always had a smile, and her first priority was her consumers.
I worked with Teri her entire career and she was always the same professional
nurse day in and day out-ready to do whatever necessary as a traditional nurse and friend to her consumers--she made a difference.
She will be missed by staff, consumers, and friends.
