Vivian Morris Obituary

Vivian Mitchum Morris, 97, resident of Klugh Road, widow of Warren Derrick Morris, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Abbeville Area Medical Center.

Born November 25, 1926, in Manning, SC, she was a daughter of the late DeChamps and Alma Frierson Mitchum. She was a graduate of Manning High School and retired from Belk of Greenwood.

She was a member of Harris Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, Rick Morris (Diann) of Greenwood; a daughter, Lori Ross (Benji) of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Amber Morris of Pickens, Autumn Morris Elrod of Illinois, Caroline Ross of Abbeville and Ben Ross Jr. (Fiancée Alexis Pickell) of Moncks Corner; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Wall of Greenwood; and special friends, Sandra Lawton, David Lawton, and Carolyn Blackwell; a sister-in-law, Louise Ficklin; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Furman (Aires), Robert C. (Judy), and Heyward Mitchum.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Clegg officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lakelands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Abbeville along with Dr. Keith Scott for their care during her time there.

Blyth Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting Mrs. Morris's family with arrangements.
