Barbara Marsh Obituary
Died July 31st 2017. She was born in Coalmont, IN to Ladonna M. (Humphries) and Dallas E. Marsh, who preceded her in death. She attended Indiana State Teachers College, earning a BA in Education.
She married Rev. Ivan Blaine Emily in 1956 in Jasonville, IN. They had one child and divorced in 1982. He died in 2012.
Mrs. Emily wrote and published a quartet of Star Trek fanzines in the 70s, known as the Star Trek Showcase and Showcase Presents The Alternate Universes of Star Wars. They're available online for reading.
Mrs. Emily is survived by her daughter, Myra Emily Lowe (Robert); a half-brother, Michael Marsh (Melissa) and half nephew Tyler Marsh; four nieces and two nephews and their children from the Emily family.
A private memorial will be conducted in Indianapolis, her home since 1987. Please contact son-in-law, Robert W. Lowe at [email protected], for details. Arrangements: Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, Indianapolis.

I knew Sharon through Star Trek. I think we only met in person once, but exchanged letters and phone calls in the days before Facebook and e-mail. Am happy to have re-established contact in 2015 via snail mail and phone. The world is a bit less vibrant in her absence.
