I was so sorry to hear of Dr Southern passing. She took care of my grandmother until her passing years ago. I was also privileged to know her thru my affiliation with Community Hospital, she was a kind and caring person.

Dr. Southern was one of the most astute and brilliant physicians I have known. Her personality and compassion were evident in how she treated her patients and friends. I was my colleague and I always considered her my friend. She was tenacious and persistent. She is an example to anyone who strives for truth and excellence in this life's journey. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Dr. Southern in 1993 when she hired me as her medical assistant. I worked for her full time for about 5 years. I knew her well. Over the past 20 years I have worked for her part time whenever she needed help in her practice. Dr. Southern was a brilliant physician and a wonderful person. I will truly miss her! My condolences to her family.

Sincerely,
