Cora L. Martin

Cora L. Martin 82, of Indianapolis, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, later relocating to Gary, Indiana in 1957, made her heavenly transition on Saturday, January 30, 2010 St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Martin; mother, Chanie Parks and sister, Carrie Hearn. Cora is cherished and will continue to be remembered by her two devoted and loving sons, Samuel Miles (Janice) of Gary, Indiana, Robert Miles of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; a special niece, Mae Helen Mapp, special cousin, Blanche Short and a host of other relatives and friends. Cora's homecoming celebration will begin on Friday, February 5, 2010, 11 a.m. in Phillips Temple C.M. E. Church, 210 East 34th Street. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
