Cora Mitchell Obituary

Cora M. Palmeter Mitchell, R.N.

102, Indianapolis, died on December 9, 2014. She was born on December 11, 1911 in Vassar, Michigan. She was a member of the graduating class of Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing in 1933. She worked as a nurse, both in Michigan and Florida and also a private duty nurse, retired for many years. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 in N.F. Chance Funeral & Cremation Service , 504 E. National Avenue, with visitation there from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Sunshine Gardens Cemetery, St. Petersburg, FL. She was preceded in death by two husbands; four sons; four brothers and parents, Roy and Mae Palmeter. Survivors include brother, Welcome Palmeter, Fishers, IN; sons, Jim McCormick, Indianapolis and Bill McCormick, Indianapolis; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
