Dale Raymond Worley 63, passed away February 20, 2007 at the Marion VA Medical Center. He was born in Marion, Indiana on March 26, 1943 to Martha (Dale) and Raymond C. Worley. He was raised in Yorktown, Indiana and graduated from Yorktown High School as Storer Scholarship winner in 1961. Dale went on to Butler University graduating from the College of Pharmacy in 1967. He was a member of Utes and Sphinx honorary and Kappa Psi pharmacy fraternity. Mr. Worley went on to work at and manage many drug stores throughout Indiana, including Hook's Drugs and Rite-Aid. Dale's family is very grateful for the care and support he received while under the care of the staff of the Marion VA. He will be missed by his family and friends as well as many of the staff and patients at the hospital. He is survived by his loving wife and companion for over 23 years, Algie P. Worley. Also surviving are his parents, Ray and Martha Worley of Muncie, Indiana; children, Mike (Jennifer) Worley of Carmel, Polly (Bob) Needler of Noblesville, Jill (Mark) Savage of Pendleton. Others surviving are his six stepchildren, Larkin "Butch" Jones, Terilyn Crawford, Angela (Keith) Knox all of Indianapolis, Bill (Carrie) Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, Carolyn (Zack) Baskerville of Los Angeles, and Renee (Ron) Hencey of Piney Flatts, Tennessee. He left one brother, Tim (Jamie)Worley of Yorktown, Virginia; and a sister, Mary Ann (Jay) Heineman of Anderson. He had 15 grandchildren, including Lee (Myesha) Jones on active duty in Japan and Christie Jones of Indianapolis. Services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, February 24 at the VA Protestant Chapel, 1700 E. 38th Street, Marion, in the chapel at the main entrance of the VA Medical Center. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery with full military rites.
