Donald R. Dunlap, Sr.
86, passed away June 2, 2012. He was a resident of Greenwood, IN. He was born April 13, 1926 in Indianapolis to the late Erroll J. and Frances (Merritt) Dunlap.
He married Betty Jean Edwards on March 23, 1951 and she survives. Other survivors include his children, Rebecca Dunlap (Dennis Howell) of Huntingburg, IN, Terri Dunlap (Jerry Engle) of Greenwood, Joanna Dunlap Daffron (Brian) of Greenwood, Sarah Dunlap (Mark Small) of Broadripple, David Dunlap (Peggy) of Clovis, CA, and Donald Dunlap, Jr. (Mary) of Greenwood; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brothers, Normand Dunlap of Franklin and Carl Dunlap of Brea, CA. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathan Eggers-Daffron; a brother, Richard Dunlap and a sister, Irma West.
Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Antietam during WWII. Before retiring he worked for Inland Container Company, A & P Supermarkets, and Bargersville State Bank.
He enjoyed history, gardening, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family.
Friends may call from Noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday in Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory , Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood. Funeral and graveside services are private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Riley Hospital for Children.

I'm going to miss you Uncle Don. Our family poker parties will never be the same, but don't worry...I'll keep an eye on Marti and make sure she doesn't pass bad cards to anyone else.
