Donald L. Heck 82, St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008. He was born in Warren County, Indiana on April 26, 1926. Donald had worked for 35 years in the telecommunications industry for Indiana Bell Telephone and AT&T. He retired in 1986. He had served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a graduate of Kelvyn Park High School in Chicago and Purdue University, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was a life member of the Purdue Alumni Association. Donald was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, both active and retired and served as president of both. In addition, he was a member of the American Legion and the Golden "K" Kiwanis in Noblesville, IN. Donald is survived by his son, Donald D. (Kimberly) Heck of St. Louis, MO; grandsons, Ian and Evan Heck of St. Louis, MO and his sister, Betty Ubben of Galesburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Grace (Gaskill) Heck and his wife, Arline Heck, who he married in Noblesville in 1950. Service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with visitation on Friday May 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Noblesville. Rev. Eric Gale will be officiating services. Burial will be in Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville, IN.
