Donna Freeman Obituary
74, of Carmel, died Thursday June 30th, at St. Vincent's Hospice in Indianapolis. Donna was born in Indianapolis in 1941. She was the oldest of seven children and always loved the role of "big sister."
On St. Patrick's Day in 1957, she met Michael Freeman and the two were married the following year. Donna committed her life to loving and caring for Mike, and raising their son Vincent. A wife, mother, and homemaker first and foremost, Donna still found time to deal in antiques and craft furniture. In the late 70s she managed a well-known gift shop at Keystone at the Crossing, and then operated a number antique shops and booths throughout the 80s.
In the late 90's Donna moved with Mike to Arizona where she continued to deal antiques and enjoy the desert warmth.
Two years ago, after being diagnosed with Peritoneal Cancer, she returned to Indiana to be close to family. Even while fighting her own chronic illness, Donna continued to serve as Mike's primary care-giver until Lewy-Body Syndrome took him in April of this year. Since his death, Donna has looked forward to being united with her life's love in eternity.
Donna is survived by her son Vince; granddaughters Chelsea and Haley; and great-grand children, Madison, Asher, and Mason.
A celebration of Donna's life will be held for family and friends on Saturday July, 16th, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Church for the Nations in Carmel, IN. Those wishing to pay respects can make a donation to The St. Vincent's Hospice Center in Donna's name. Arrangements entrusted to Bussell Family Funerals, Carmel-Westfield.

I will miss seeing Donna and talking to her. I met her during the two occasions she was in Kindred....Then I visited both she and Michael at home.
She had the most beautiful smile and was so positive in dealing with her illness.....always trusting in Jesus, her Lord.
I'm so glad to have known her .... She was a special lady.
