Edward Louis Flynn

The Lord does something marvelous when he gives us a brother or sister; it is a gift of joy. Our brother, Edward Louis Flynn, known as Louie to his friends and family was born Jan 6th, 1954 in Indianapolis to the late Floyd Louis Flynn and Edna Flynn Webb. His life's journey ended suddenly Dec 15th, 2020.

Louie graduated NHS in 1971 and began his career at the Indianapolis Star shortly after graduating. A friendly face to many, he had the most welcoming smile and could handle any hot headed journalist with grace and care.

Growing up, sharing life's moments was a gift. The sorrows and joys, whether big or small, having each other's support and understanding was a comfort. Even a disagreement couldn't sever our bonds. We have all remained close and Louie frequently called and often dropped by for a visit. The support and care of someone we hold dear is always there; memories help comfort us. We will miss our dear brother and hold him forever in our hearts.

Louie leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife Gayl Flynn, sons Chris Flynn (Katie) and Dale LaHue (April), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings Toosie Eggers (Randy), Janet Hoover, and Kelly Flynn, as well as many nieces and nephews.

I still can't believe I'll never hear his voice or see him again. In 2017 we lost Vivian & now Louie. Our sibling circle is smaller. My heart aches.
