Erika S. Wetzel

Erika S. Wetzel, 75, of Mooresville, died Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at her residence. Born September 4, 1928 in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Vincent and Gertrude Schewiola. She was an underwriter for American States Ins. Co. in Indianapolis for 9 years retiring in 1985. Mrs. Wetzel was a member of the Zion Evangelical Church in Indianapolis. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2003 in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, with Pastor Jeff Newton officiating. Calling will be in the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl F. Wetzel; and a brother, Gerhard Schewiola. Survivors include her sons, Karl of Lexington, KY, Gary of Plainfield, and Bernie Wetzel of Sarasota, FL; brother, Horst Schewiola of Berlin, Germany; sister, Hildegard Schulz of Berlin, Germany; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
