Fern Serak Obituary
Fern Serak
82, Brownsburg, passed away November 19, 2011. Fern taught English at Fulton Jr. High School for 35 years and retired as department head for English and foreign language. She was a graduate of Indiana University and Butler University and a member of Kappa Delta Phi. Survivors include husband, John Serak Jr.; son, John (Laurie) Serak III; sister, Lucreta Allen; grandsons, John Serak IV, Christopher (Kari) Serak, and Patrick Serak; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 22 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 23. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.

Was so very sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Fern. She will be missed by many but remembered by more. You are all in our thoughts.

Mrs. Serak was one of the best teachers I had at Fulton.She's always been and will be remembered of fondly.
