Sgt. Major Harry Hale

Sergeant Major , Harry "Jack" Hale 64 of Indianapolis died June 20, 2003. Retired from the U S Marines in 1986 after 32 years of service. Highly decorated veteran of several military conflicts. Most recently he was an Assistant Director for the U S Department of Labor in Indiana for the past 15 years. Husband of Joyce Zaring Hale. Jack is also survived by sons, Jamie, Edward and Michael Hale, daughters Laurie Brantner, Linda Sell, Rachel Beck and Jane Archer. Brothers Nathan, Charles and Michael Hale, sisters Edna Loucks, Mary Snoburger, Jean Gulyas, Carol Benkins and Sarah Clark. Nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV and Vietnam Vets. Services will be Wed. June 25 at 10:30 a.m. in Little & Sons Funeral Home Stop 11 Rd. with visitation Tue June 24 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Inurnment to be in Arlington National Cemetery. In lue of flowers, donations may be made to American Lung or Heart Association.
