Uncle Jim, I still can’t believe I am writing a tribute because of your passing. Words cannot describe this difficult moment, but if this is the last time I get to say goodbye then I know I will do so with the knowledge that I consider myself blessed to have lived this life as your niece.
You touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favours in return. You were a patient man. You loved to laugh. I loved you the most for being my mother’s best friend.
Your death came as a shock to us and as you sit in the arms of the Lord, your family, friends mourn your death. It’s all right as each of us have the Lord beside us as we say our farewells. Your body might be gone from this world but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Today we will mourn you in our own way as we pay a tribute to you.
We still wake up every morning hoping this is a dream, and it hurts knowing you are gone forever. On the Monday you left my mom spoke to and you sounded okay. Ben and I had just returned from the Ark Encounter in Kentucky. We knew how much you wanted to see that. We were checking out how we could accommodate you and mom through the museum. It truly was a sight and there was so much to see, so much rich history. You would have loved it. I was so excited to share the photos and make plans to bring the pair of you.
But, God decided it was your time. Everyone felt the pain that you had been suffering for so long.We will cherish every single moment we spent with you. I guess this is our final goodbye since we never got the chance to do so.
Rest in peace Uncle Jim, We will definitely miss you :broken_heart::broken_heart::broken_heart:
