James Kevill "Jimmy" Malone III
was born on January 6, 1988 in Indianapolis, IN. to Jim and Jeanne Malone. On January 7, 2015 he died unexpectedly due to bacterial meningitis.
Jimmy was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He lived his life doing and giving to others. He faced numerous health challenges from the day he was born, yet never complained. He was a quiet leader and led by example.
He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, Cathedral High School, and Xavier University. As a student he faced being dyslexic with grace and determination. Jimmy excelled at creative writing, speech and art. At Cathedral he competed in cross country, track and men's volleyball.
Jimmy started his professional career in the software industry. Recently, he became an entrepreneur, starting his own cleaning business.
He is survived by his parents; sister Julie; brother-in-law, Houston Hum and their daughter Hadley; as well as his younger brother, John-Thomas all of Indianapolis.
Jimmy was a part of a large extended family. He leaves behind his maternal grandmother Rosalie Malone, 17 aunts and uncles, and 37 first cousins. Even surpassing this number of relatives are his countless family of friends, in particular his boyfriend, Matthew Oslos. Jimmy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Craig and Dorothy Hambidge, his paternal grandfather Thomas F. Malone, and his uncle James C. Hambidge.
A calling will be held on Sunday, January 11th from 11-4 at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 East 86th Street. A Memorial Mass for Jimmy will be on Monday, January 12th at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Language Support Program at Cathedral High School or the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Jimmy's memory.

Jim, Jeanne, Julie, JT and all those who knew and loved Jimmy. Bill and I were so stunned and heartbroken to learn of your loss, even though nearly a year has gone by. I was in Texas at the time of Jimmy's passing, which is how I missed knowing. We would have been there for you had we known. Remembrances? Oh, yes. Far too many to list. Joe and his family join us in sending our love, continuing prayers, and heartfelt hugs of comfort to you. Love, The Beraneks
