James C. Thomas
79, of Avon, passed away April 21, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Connie E. (Matarazzo) Thomas; a daughter, Cathy (Dave) Bryant; three sons, Kevin (Helen), Chris, and Terry Thomas; brother, William "Junior" Thomas; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the Avon United Methodist Church, 6850 E. US 36, Avon, where friends may call on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Westridge Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home , Plainfield. I waited on Mr. Thomas at IU Health West Hospital many times and he was such a joy!! He was so kind and always offered words of encouragement even when he was not well. He was always very thankful and polite! I will miss his smiling face and sweet personality. God bless his family.

Ernie and I are incredibly saddened after hearing of Jim's passing. You and Jim were the first people to welcome me and my mom to AUMC years ago. I loved working with Jim on the Worship Team as well.
