Jeanne Marie (Obergfell) Armbruster

52, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of June 16, 2016. She was born April 3, 1964 in Beech Grove, IN the youngest in a family of seven to Richard Urban Obergfell, Sr. and Ella (Marie) McMahon Obergfell. Graduating in 1982 from Roncalli High School, Jeanne was a member of the Indiana State Championship Volleyball team. She attended Marian College in Indianapolis where she played volleyball and graduated in 1986, earning her Bachelor Degree in Education. Jeanne was a 30 year veteran teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools. As a dedicated and caring elementary educator, she took an active interest in the success of each and every student she ever encountered. Additionally, Jeanne was a loving mother of three, a devoted and loving wife, an exceptional caregiver for her sister, Terri, and avid runner.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, Richard U. Obergfell, Sr. and mother Ella (Marie) Obergfell and brother Richard U. Obergfell, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Armbruster, Sr. and three sons, Andrew Armbruster (Kiersten), Paul  Armbruster and Michael J. Armbruster, Jr. Additionally, she is survived by her loving sisters, Janet Obergfell Huck and Marie Therese (Terri) Obergfell and brothers, David T. Obergfell, Joseph F. Obergfell and Daniel L. Obergfell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Barnabas Catholic Church of which she was a member. Visitation will be Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home where prayers will be said on Monday at 1 p.m. prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, Jeanne's family requests that donations be made to the New Hope of Indiana Fredrick's Home or Saint Meinrad Archabbey, The Bob Armbruster Scholarship Fund.
