Jesse Hubbard Obituary

Doctor Jesse Donald Hubbard 86, Indianapolis, died October 9, 2006 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He served as a pathologist at Indiana University for 44 years. The last 15 years, he interviewed candidates to Johns Hopkins University. Doctor Hubbard was a WWII Air Force veteran. He was a graduate of Depauw University and Johns Hopkins University. He was honored by Indiana University School of Medicine Alumni Association with the Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence, both in 1984 and 1991. He is survived by his brother, John Stanley (Jo) Hubbard; nephew, Jimmie (Susan) Hubbard; and niece, Susie Hubbard; son, Joe Hubbard, grandchildren, John David Hubbard and Kyle David Hubbard; daughter, Debra Joan Mathew; grandson, Anthony Scott (Heather) Hubbard; grand daughter, Candice Nicole (Shawn) Sander; and great grandson, Devin Marvel Sanders; daughter, Jean D. Cobb; granddaughter, Jessica Kay (Benjamin) Gault; great grandchildren, Chloe Jordan, Diane Cobb, Justin Ray Gault, Jacob Benjamin Gault, and Kelsey Marie Gault; granddaughter, Emily Jean Cobb; great grandson, Brendon Michael Cobb; grandson, Benedict Eugene Cobb, III. Memorial service will be on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 2 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 3535 Kessler Blvd. N. Dr., Indianapolis, Indiana. Inurnment will be at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan C. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 6069 Dept. 95, Indianapolis, Indiana 46206-6069; Johns Hopkins University, and the Indianapolis Zoo.
