You were my first track coach. You told my mother that I could excel in track. You were right. Thank you.

For all of John's family near and far, we Texans were honored to know him and call him friend. It is my prayer that you all take joy in having had him in your lives. He was a friend and support to those who worked with him. It saddens me to know he is gone.
May the Good Lord bless and keep you all.

I was John's physical therapist. John was definitely a fighter. Many people would have relented to the physical challenges that John faced during recovery but he was persistent, not giving up until his body just couldn't go anymore. He was an inspiration to many and we will miss him.
