Kay Rihm Obituary

Kay F. Hunt Rihm Age 63, of Greenfield, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at noon at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born on October 8, 1942 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Ralph and Mary Frances (Parker) Hunt. She graduated from Fortville High School in 1960. She attended Ball State and graduated from Indiana Business College. She married Philip J. Rihm on July 20, 1968. Mrs. Rihm was a homemaker, worked at Western Electric in assembly and as a secretary, and also worked at J.W. Riley's Emporium in Greenfield. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Greenfield and was previously in charge of the bereavement committee there. She also was a member of Historic Landmarks and a member of Kaiser-Frazer Owner's Club International. She loved flowers, gardening, antiques, and making and selling folk art pieces at the Riley Days Festival. Surviving her are her husband, Philip J. Rihm of Greenfield; daughter, Mary Frances Rihm of Greenfield; father, Ralph Hunt of Fortville; and sisters, Pamela Reichenbach of Greenfield and Juene Adams of Fortville. Preceding her in death was her mother, Mary Frances (Parker) Hunt. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuaries, 1484 W US 40, Greenfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Greenfield. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Michael's Catholic Church Bereavement Committee, 519 Jefferson Blvd, Greenfield, IN 46140 or the American Cancer Society, 426 Hamilton Street, Fortville, IN 46040.
