Lidija Briedis Avenins

Lidija Briedis Avenins 97, died July 4, 2005. She was a native of Latvia, a member of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church and of the Indiana Association of Latvian Senior Citizens. She was a seamstress for 13 years at C.O. Gooding Company, a custom shirt manufacturer, before retiring in 1973. She is survived by her children, Aija Avenins, Maija Kalnins, and Paija Eltzeroth; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine; Pavils Avenins in 1989. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Sat., July 9, at G.H. Herrmann Madison Ave. Funeral Home, 5141 S. Madison Ave., with calling from 9 to 10:00 a.m. Sat., July 9, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.
