Lila L. McHenry Powell

Lila L. McHenry Powell,, 75, Indianapolis, passed away November 9, 2003. She was a telephone receptionist at McNamara Florist for 12 years, retiring in 1990. Lila was a member of Christ Church Cathedral. Services: Thursday, November 13, at 12 p.m. with visitation Wednesday, November 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, 5377 E. Washington St. Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia Society Childrens Camp, American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Fund. Survivors include: her children, Janet L. Linton, Chester Paul Powell II, David R. Ruffin; sisters, Vella Webb, Doris Campbell, Mona Klein, Carolyn Tschopp and Bonnie Jensen; brothers, William and Robert McHenry; granddaughters, Jennifer M. Johnson and Ashley L. Powell; great-granddaughters, Kristen and Mandy Johnson. Her husband, Chester P. Powell preceded her in death.
