Margaret Louise Gallagher

Indianapolis - age 93, passed away on July 23, 2020. She was born October 29, 1926 in Indianapolis to John and Mary Sheehan Mattz. She worked for Warren Central High School for 21 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Hibernian's Auxiliary. She had a great passion for sports, especially golf, bowling, the NFL and NBA but mostly her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Cornelius "Connie" Gallagher, sons John Gallagher, Thomas Gallagher, son-in-law William Dufner, brothers Joseph Mattz and John Mattz. Margaret is survived by her daughter Maureen Guthrie-Dufner, son Joseph (Rita) Gallagher, sister Mary Helen Shea, grandchildren Joseph, Meg, Kathleen, Sean, Thomas, Ryan and Allyson, great grandchildren Luke, Keegan, James, Dylan, Nora, Gavin, Kadence, Sienna, Sophia, Saige, Savannah and Jenna.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 29, at 10 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Social distancing and masks will be practiced. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to American Cancer Society. www.feeneyhornakshadeland.com

So sad to hear of Margaret's passing. She was a dear friend of our mother Anna Nolan. Our families grew up together and we have so many wonderful memories! Thinking of the family and keeping all in our prayers.
