Margaret Marmon Obituary

Margaret "Margo" Rose McLaughlin Marmon 92, died peacefully in her sleep February 1, 2007 at Marquette Manor Health Care Center in Indianapolis, IN. Margo was born December 10, 1914 in Bloomfield, IN to the late Albert W. and Bessie McLaughlin. Margo graduated from Bloomfield High School and attended Indiana University. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She belonged to Crossroads Guild and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was active in the Shepherd Center at St. Paul's. During her life she enjoyed and actively supported The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, and the Indianapolis Zoo. She is preceded in death by husband, Joseph E. Marmon and son, Michael J. Marmon. She is survived by son, Stephen W. Marmon; daughter-in-law, Audrey Jane Marmon; granddaughters, Jennifer L. Romaniuk and Natalie R. Heidecker; sister, Betty McLaughlin Cross; four nieces; and four great-grandchildren. Margo was beloved in life and will be remembered as gracious, generous and considerate. She always had a positive attitude, a ready smile, a kind word, a sympathetic ear, a sense of humor, elegance, style, and grace. She will be sorely missed. Visitation will be at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center-Broad Ripple at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 9, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Rehabilitation Center, Inc., 4740 Kingsway Drive, Indpls, IN 46205.
