Marjorie L. Dorrell Imhausen
89, of Plainfield, wife of the late Rev. Chester Imhausen Sr., passed away on Monday, February 20 at 1:27 p.m. She was born August 24, 1922 to the late Merrill and Lillian (Barnett) Dorrell. She was the beloved mother of Chester A. Imhausen Jr. and Rosanna Ruth Dwyer; grandmother, of Brian Imhausen (Megan); dear sister of Kenneth Dorrell, Homer Dorrell (Gladys), Mabel White, Chester Dorrell (Wilma), and Ernie Dorrell (Martha). Marjorie was predeceased by her brother Robert Dorrell.
In her early years she worked for Merchants National Bank and after WWII married Chester Imhausen, who became a Methodist minister. They served two appointments in the Indiana Conference then moved to Dayton, OH where Chester studied at United Theological Seminary. Afterwards, they served three appointments in the West Ohio Conference in Dayton, Wauseon, and Zanesville, OH. She devoted her life to supporting her husband in his ministry by volunteering in the church and surrounding community.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24 at 10:30 a.m. in Plainfield United Methodist Church, 600 Simmons St, Plainfield, IN 46168. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday February 23 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home , Plainfield.

I became acquainted with Marjorie in Rachel Circle at PUMC and enjoyed visiting with her. She was a dear, sweet lady.
