Martha Tower Obituary

Martha D. Tower Age 76, Corydon, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was born on December 15, 1929 at Ramsey, Indiana the daughter of Robert S. and Nattye Conrad Davis. She was a retired registered nurse in the obstetrics dept. at Harrison County Hospital for many years. She was a member of Chapel of the Sea Presbyterian Church at Ft. Myers Beach, Florida and attended Corydon Presbyterian Church. she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Psi Zi Iota sorority. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman, a son Bruce Tower, a brother, Don Davis and a sister Rae Walk. She is survived by four sons, Michael Tower of Brookville, Indiana, David Tower of North Vernon, Indiana, Dan Tower of Greensburg, Indiana, James Tower of Corydon, Indiana; two brothers, Robert Davis of Ramsey, Indiana, David Davis of Corydon, Indiana; two sisters, Billie Hart of Austin, Texas and Judy Austin of Brandenburg, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Gehlback & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Philip Makari will officiate. Burial will be in Woods Chapel Cemetery near Ramsey, IN. Visitation will be held at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon on Sunday form 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Monday. There will be a Daughters of the American Revolution Ceremony on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the American Cancer Society or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Pallbearers will be Dan Black, Scott Tower miller, Johnny Breeden, Clay Davis, Thad Holton, Rick and Randy Shawler and Nick Tower. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mary Shireman, Barb Holton, Ann Westhafer, Arden McKim, Margaret Robb Dukes, Billie Hell, Ruby Rooksby, Clair Sharp, Allie Travis, Marilyn Walters and Linda Bussabarger.
