Patricia Castle Obituary

Patricia Ann Castle Mar. 12, 1932 ~ Oct. 5, 2010 Patricia Ann Castle, 78 of Noblesville, IN died at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in her residence. She was born in Akron, Ohio to George and Florence (Croft) Haverty and they preceded her in death. She grew up in Massillon and Coshocton, Ohio and graduated high school from Central Wesleyan Academy in South Carolina. Her higher education included Central Wesleyan College in South Carolina, Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, and she received a masters in education from Ball State University. An elementary teacher for over 31 years, she taught at public schools in Ohio and Indiana, including the Mississinewa School system. Patricia was married August 12, 1957 to Howard B. Castle, a Wesleyan Church minister. Together, they served the Wesleyan church in Valparaiso, IN and in Dayton and Toronto, Ohio. She was a charter member of the Fall Creek Wesleyan Church in Fishers, IN. Patricia is survived by her husband, Rev. Howard Castle and son Kevin, all of Noblesville, IN; two grandsons, Shea and Kyle Castle of Dayton, OH; ten nieces and four nephews. Preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas and Harold Haverty; a sister, Leila Lumm; a daughter, Rebecca Jane Castle. Viewing will be on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Fall Creek Wesleyan Church, 11721 Olio Road, Fishers, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Fall Creek Wesleyan Church, Fishers, IN, with Rev. Larry Wilson and Rev. Don Glenn officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m., Saturday, October 9 in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, IN. Arrangements are being handled by Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 North Baldwin Ave. Marion, IN. Memorials may be made to Indiana Wesleyan University, 4201 South Washington St. Marion, IN 46953 or to Fall Creek Wesleyan Church, 11721 Olio Rd. Fishers, IN 46037.
