Paul Kenneth Keller, Jr.
74, of Indianapolis, died Thursday, September 22, 2011. Paul was born June 17, 1937 in Benton Co., Indiana to Paul Kenneth and Dorothy Blankenship Keller; they preceded him in death as did his beloved wife, Norma Jean Buck Keller, and his sister, Dorothy Sturgeon.
Mr. Keller was a 1955 graduate of Otterbein High School. He was a sales manager for Midwest Warehouse Corporation, where he retired from in October of 2006. Mr. Keller was a 52 year member and Past Master of the Otterbein Masonic Lodge No.561, a Past Worthy Patron in the Otterbein Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Boone Co. Antique Tractor Club, and a very active member of his church, Bethel United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.
The simple pleasures of life brought Paul the greatest enjoyment. He was well known for his outgoing, caring personality, his patience, and for being "level headed." Mr. Keller was a man that did not know a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to a person in need. Being with his family was where he was the happiest; whether watching his children or grandchildren at their sporting events or helping with the Belgian draft horses, if it was with his family, he was there right in the middle of it all!
He loved to share his passion for photography. Paul was known to take pictures at the grandkids sporting events and then give the photos to all the parents whose kids where on the team-always at no cost to anyone. He was a Civil War enthusiast, loved to woodwork, and enjoyed auto racing; Paul found joy in all life had to offer!
Mr. Keller is survived by his children, Teresa K. Koopman of Lebanon, Beth MacGill (Steve) of Indianapolis, and Steven Keller (Linda) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Hendrix, Nick MacGill, Abby MacGill, Emily Keller, and Megan Ellis; and his great grandson, Marcus Ellis. Paul is also survived by his brother, Bill Keller (Betty); his sisters Paula Fuller (Henry), Marilyn Shonkwiler (Richard), and Richlynn Ostrander (Robert).
