Richard Dezelan Obituary
Richard "Dick" Dezelan 74, Noblesville, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Yellow Rose Unit at Methodist Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born January 19, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana to John and Mary (Zeronik) Dezelan. He was a 1953 graduate of Cathedral High School. Richard served in the Army 82nd Airborne. He worked at Edgecomb Metals for 33 years until retiring in 1991. He then owned ReMax in Kokomo for 6 years, until retiring in 1995. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, exercising and running. He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Simon Cancer Center and Methodist Yellow Rose Hospice staff. Thanks also to Dr. Abonour, Nurse Gina Kramer, and Dr. Cripe. He is survived by his wife, Margie Dezelan; daughter, Denise (Frederic) Sejalon of Commerce Twp., Michigan; son, David (Laney) Dezelan of Fishers; daughter, Debra Dezelan of Fishers; son, Daniel R. (Karen) Dezelan of Fishers; daughter, Mary Diane (Karl) Vandivier of Belleville, Michigan; and 10 grandchildren, Cody and Tucker Dezelan, Cory, Kevin, and Connor Vandivier, Anna Dezelan, and Danielle, Katie, Megan and Michael Dezelan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Rosemary Dezelan and Joan Thoman and brothers John and Thomas Dezelan. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville, with Rev. Tom Metzger officiating. Friends may call Monday, April 19, 2010 from 4:00 - 8:00PM, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, 435 W.Troy Avenue, in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dezelan Trust at Cathedral High School, in memory of Dick Dezelan, 5225 E. 56th St., Indianapolis, IN 46226.
